Privacy
Privacy policy.
Plain English, as short as the law allows.
LuLu Avenue Pty Ltd trading as Mac & Co Lending (ABN 14 664 435 198) collects personal information so it can arrange loans and related services for you. This policy explains what is collected, why, and what your rights are. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and, for credit related information, the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code.
What we collect
To arrange finance we typically collect your name and contact details, identification documents, employment and income details, assets, liabilities and expenses, and credit information such as your repayment history and credit reports. We collect it from you directly, and with your consent from third parties such as your employer, your accountant, credit reporting bodies and lenders.
Why we collect it
To assess your situation, recommend suitable loan options, lodge applications with lenders, manage your loan through to settlement and review it afterwards, and to meet legal obligations including responsible lending and identity verification requirements. We also use contact details to stay in touch about your loan, including the annual review.
Who we share it with
Only the parties needed to get your loan done: lenders and their assessors, our aggregator, credit reporting bodies, valuers, your solicitor or conveyancer, and our licensee for compliance purposes. We do not sell your information. Where a service provider stores data overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled to Australian standards.
How it is stored
Information is held in secure, access controlled systems. We keep records for the periods required by law and destroy or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
Marketing
We may occasionally contact you about services relevant to your situation. You can opt out at any time by replying, or by emailing renaee@macandcolending.com.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will try to resolve it promptly. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or for credit related complaints, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority at afca.org.au.
